Eric Green - Managing Director
Eric Green brings to OpenDoor his 24 years of economic research and financial market strategy experience at private sector sell-side institutions, the Federal Reserve, and the US Treasury. Dr. Green has built market research teams from scratch delivering insightful investment perspectives with a team-oriented approach that fosters innovative out-of-the box thinking. Prior to joining OpenDoor, Eric was the Global Head of FX, Rates, and Commodity Research at TD Securities leading a global research team consisting of 21 economists, strategists and analysts. He was also a member of the Global Executive Management Committee at TD, helping shape business strategy, infrastructure, and personnel plans for offices and operations worldwide.
From 2004 to 2008, Eric was the Chief Market Economist at Countrywide Securities Corp. There he developed and lead a rates and currency research effort to support the firms Primary Dealer activities. From 1997-2004, Dr. Green served as Director in the BNP Paribas Fixed Income Research Group for the Americas, and from 1994-1997, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY as a Senior Economist in the Capital Markets Group under former Governor Mishkin. Mr. Green began his career at the US Department of Treasury where he was a member of the Presidents Working Group on Financial Markets.
He has been a regular fixture across broadcast and print media and is the author of "High Technology Competition in an Age of Transition," published by Praeger in 1996. A graduate of Holy Cross, Eric also holds a masters degree from the University of London, and Ph.d in economics from Tufts University.
